Piano Jam suggestion form. Difficulty Level of the Kapustin Concert Etudes? I’m probably going to start studying these specifically the toccatinaso what challenges await me in this? Any pieces that are miles more difficult than others?

Your thoughts on them? I’m in this boat with you. I started working on the Toccatina a few weeks back, and I’ve worked on the first Etude a year back.

It makes a lot of sense when you crack that barrier though, and I’d have to say Kapustin’s writing is very, very pianistic. I’m being honest, a lot of the writing in these pieces is very brash, at the louder spectrum of the piano, so you can definitely get away with approaching with a heavy touch haha.

I’m at work right now, might post more on this later, these pieces are super interesting. Sorry for wall of text! Oh god those left hand runs.

That was the first thing I noticed when I started working on Kapustin’s stuff. After I got over how awkward it is to read.
